"Consultation Meeting on Family-Friendly Policy/ Practices in Private Sector"
Organized by UNICEF Nepal in collaboration with HCDPN (hcdpn.org)

Family-friendly policies are defined as those policies that help to balance and benefit both work and family life that typically provide three types of essential resources needed by parents and caregivers of young children: time, finances and services. The school closures across the world, as part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, are posing new challenges to working parents.

In this context, the family-friendly workplace policies such as maternity/ paternity leave, health insurances, mental health support, childcare support etc. are key to success at work and also to children’s development and wellbeing.

UNICEF has been advocating for family-friendly policies at workplace globally and has been working very closely with the private sector to develop and strengthen family-friendly practices. In Nepal, we have been working on various advocacy work related to family-friendly policies and we are eager to learn about the existing practices, gaps and challenges within it.

We would like to invite you to join us at the consultation meeting that UNICEF Nepal is organizing in collaboration with the HCDPN (hcdpn.org)
